Boscastle Community Minibus

The Boscastle Community Minibus is available for community transport, group hire and excursions.

The 17-seater minibus is available to members of the body whom the driver is aged of 25 to 69 with a B1/D1 car licence of at least two years. The minibus is not for profit – the Company will set fares at a level intended to meet the running costs but not to generate a profit.

Cost of community group hire is listed below and is excluding fuel:

Full day £50
Half day £35 (up to 6 hours)

Block bookings by separate arrangement.

To book the minibus

2. You will need to ensure you have a driver that has been authorised by the minibus manager. The driver is aged of 25 to 69 with a B1/D1 car licence of at least two years. We are unable to provide a pool of volunteer drivers for group hire bookings.

3. Check the availability of the minibus using the calendar. Once you have an authorised driver and the minibus is free, simply complete the community hire form below and the minibus manager will be in contact.

We are looking for volunteer drivers for community trips!

What is a volunteer driver?

We are always looking for volunteer drivers for our community trips. If you have spare time to drive to a destination with our passengers, enjoy the destination and return home then it could be the perfect activity for you. Speak to the minibus manager for more.
What licence do I need to have?

You will be driving without reward (paid) therefore you can drive the minibus on a B1 driving licence (manual car licence).
Are there any age restrictions?

To satisfy our insurance, you need to be aged between 25 and 69 and have at least 2 years driving experience.
Can I still volunteer if I have penalty points?

Maybe. We would need to disclose any endorcements to our insurance company and if they premium is reasonable, we can consider you joining the volunteer driver team.
